You might have already been using Google Analytics WordPress plug-in and even AdSense plug-in for WordPress. Now Google has launched a dedicated WordPress plug-in called Site Kit, according to this Search Engine Journal update.

In the first version of the plug-in, Google has integrated for tools and products:

  1. Search Console: Learn how users discover your content on Google Search.
  2. Analytics: Understand how users navigate your website or blog.
  3. AdSense: Setup AdSense and monitor your earnings.
  4. PageSpeed Insights: Identify critical performance optimizations for your site.

Right now you cannot state of a download the plug-in and start using it from within the WordPress dashboard. The Site Kit WordPress plug-in will be made available to beta testers in early 2019. You can request early access to this plug-in using the signup form.

Not much detail is available about the plug-in but understandably, you will be able to access all the insights from these Google tools from within your WordPress dashboard. Normally, if you want to see your analytics data, you have to separately signed into your Google Analytics account. This is what the Google blog post says:

With Site Kit installed, WordPress users can access unified insights and Google product capabilities directly from the WordPress admin panel. Where it is helpful, Site Kit will also provide deep links into Google products for advanced reports and product configuration capabilities.

With more than 20% of the websites in the world being managed by WordPress one way or another (including this website) it is but natural that Google would want WordPress users to conveniently use its tools.
